Zesty Panko Air Fryer Calamari
Set up your dredging station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs, lemon zest, garlic powder, and salt mixed together.
Ingredients
- 400 g calamari (rings and tentacles), thawed and patted dry
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 piece large egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp salt
- q.s. piece olive oil spray
Steps
- Set up your dredging station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs, lemon zest, garlic powder, and salt mixed together.
- Dip each calamari piece first in flour, shaking off excess, then in egg, and finally coat thoroughly in the seasoned panko.
- Preheat your air fryer to 195°C (385°F).
- Lightly spray the breaded calamari with olive oil spray. Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately.
