Spicy Air Fryer Popcorn Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken cubes and marinate for at least 15 minutes (or longer in the fridge).

- 400 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed
- 120 ml buttermilk
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 80 g all-purpose flour
- 30 g cornstarch
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp salt
Steps
- In a bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken cubes and marinate for at least 15 minutes (or longer in the fridge).
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
- Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off, then dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
- Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.
- Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary. Spray lightly with oil.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
