General Tso's Air Fryer Chicken
In a bowl, toss chicken cubes with cornstarch and beaten egg until coated.
Ingredients
- 600 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed
- 60 g cornstarch
- 1 piece egg, beaten
- 60 ml soy sauce
- 30 ml rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 clove garlic, minced
Steps
- In a bowl, toss chicken cubes with cornstarch and beaten egg until coated.
- In another bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic to make the sauce.
- Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.
- Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary. Spray lightly with oil.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 74°C) and crispy.
- Toss the cooked chicken with the General Tso's sauce in a large bowl until evenly coated. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
