Air Fryer Sweet & Sour Tempeh with Bell Peppers
Steam tempeh for 10 minutes, then cut into desired shapes. This helps it absorb flavor better.
Ingredients
- 300 g tempeh, cut into triangles or cubes
- 2 piece bell peppers (red, yellow), cut into chunks
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 clove garlic, minced

- Steam tempeh for 10 minutes, then cut into desired shapes. This helps it absorb flavor better.
- In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
- Add the tempeh pieces and bell pepper chunks to the bowl, tossing until everything is well coated with the sweet and sour glaze.
- Preheat air fryer to 190°C. Arrange the tempeh and peppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5-7 minutes, until tempeh is golden and peppers are tender-crisp.
