  2. Unroll the pie crust and cut out 4 equal rectangles or circles (about 10x15 cm or 12 cm diameter).
  3. Place a spoonful of the strawberry filling onto one half of each pastry shape, leaving a border.
  4. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Cut a few small slits on top of each hand pie for venting. Brush with beaten egg.
