Air Fryer Churro Bites
In a saucepan, combine water, butter, 1 tbsp sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
Ingredients
- 120 ml water
- 50 g unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 60 g all-purpose flour
- 1 piece large egg
- 50 g sugar for coating
- 1 tsp cinnamon for coating
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, 1 tbsp sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat, add flour all at once, and stir vigorously until a dough ball forms. Return to low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring, to dry out the dough.
- Transfer dough to a bowl, let cool slightly, then beat in the egg until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Spoon dough into a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe 5-7 cm lengths onto parchment paper.
- Lightly spray the churro bites with cooking oil. Air fry at 190°C for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- While warm, toss the churro bites in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Serve immediately.
